Fabric Quality Inspector

VIVO Fashion is looking for a Fabric Quality Inspector.

Job Purpose

To inspect and test all incoming and in-house fabrics using machine and manual methods, ensuring fabrics meet factory and buyer quality standards before approval for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fabric inspection using inspection/Testing machines, and manual methods (4-Point System).

• Identify, record, and classify fabric defects accurately.

• Perform basic fabric quality tests (width, GSM, shrinkage, shade, color fastness as required).

• Decide fabric status: Pass, Hold, or Fail based on inspection and test results.

• Maintain fabric inspection and testing records for audits and reporting

• Coordinate with fabric warehouse, cutting, and production teams on fabric quality issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Textile / Garment Technology preferred.

• Minimum 5 years experience in fabric inspection within a garment manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of woven, knits, other fabrics types, and common fabric defects.
